How we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This Privacy Policy explains how Andrew Phan, trading as SYNORA TECH (ABN 42 234 662 138) (we, us), handles personal information in connection with the SynoraDrive website and platform. If a company takes over the business, we will update this policy to name it.
Privacy questions can be sent to andrew@synoratech.ai.
We collect enquiry details directly from you through our website forms or by email. Dealership customer information is supplied to us by the dealership that uses SynoraDrive.
We use enquiry details to respond to you, arrange demos and pilots and, if you opt in, send product updates. We process dealership customer information only to provide the SynoraDrive service to the dealership that supplied it, acting as its service provider. We do not sell personal information. SynoraDrive does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning to process this information.
We disclose personal information to our service providers (such as hosting and email delivery), to the dealership client that supplied it, and where required by law.
The SynoraDrive platform is built to host its primary data in Microsoft Azure, Australia East. Some service providers may store or access personal information outside Australia, including our website host, email delivery provider, website analytics and, once released, e-signature. The countries involved are being confirmed and will be listed here before launch. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We use essential cookies to run this website and may use analytics to understand how it is used. Analytics data may include your IP address and device information and may be processed outside Australia. Analytics only run if you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Planned measures include encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access and multi-factor sign-in. If we experience a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, unless you become a customer. Deal documents processed on the platform are planned to be deleted automatically after a retention period of generally 30 days. Once DocuSign e-signature is released, signed documents will also be held in the dealership's own DocuSign account under its agreement with DocuSign. Dealerships must keep their own records. When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
SynoraDrive uses rule-based software to read contracts and prepare documents for dealership staff to check. It does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning. Decisions about a sale, finance, insurance or delivery are made by dealership staff, not by SynoraDrive. If we start using computer programs to make decisions that could significantly affect individuals, we will update this policy.
If you bought a vehicle from a dealership that uses SynoraDrive, that dealership collected your information and is responsible for telling you how it is handled. We process it on the dealership's behalf.
You can make general enquiries without identifying yourself, but we need contact details to arrange a demo. We will only send marketing emails if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you by emailing andrew@synoratech.ai. We will respond within 30 days. If your information was supplied by a dealership, we may refer your request to that dealership and help it respond.
Complaints: contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992).
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
